Job Description * Tekkie Town, a leading division of Pepkor Trading Pty Ltd, is seeking to employ a Buyer's Assistant to join our team in Cape Town. The Buyer's Assistant is responsible to provide effective and accurate administrative and general assistance to the Buyers in their respective key responsibility areas to achieve the SBU’s sales and profit objectives. * If you have a sharp eye for detail, a passion for retail, and are ready to make an impact come and apply! Qualifications * Grade 12 Matric is essential * A relevant qualification in Retail, Administration, Fashion Design/Clothing Production/Product Development/Merchandising, or a related field would be an advantage. Knowledge, Skills and Experience * 2 years previous experience in an Administrator or Buyer’s Assistant within a retail/buying environment. * Proficiency in the latest G-Suite Docs/Sheets/Slides is an essential requirement. * Working knowledge of a PLM system similar to Airtable is advantageous. * An understanding of the Retail Cycle & Buying process would be advantageous. * Sound numerical skills with a proven ability to compile accurate financial or numerical reports. * Ability to work with various groups of people across different cultures and levels. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * The ability to remain flexible, function under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and work performance in a variety of circumstances. * Excellent time-management, planning, and organisational skills. * The ability to work independently and in a team. * Accuracy in execution and attention to detail. * A strong sense of integrity. Key Responsibilities * Execute all administration relating to the procurement process to ensure on-time delivery as per the critical path dates/deadlines. * Provide general assistance to the Buyer/s. * Capture, monitor, and audit purchase orders to ensure 100% accuracy on pricing, costs, and delivery dates. * Update and assist with style cards and sample management. * Effectively communicate and follow-up internally and externally. * Communicate and follow-up effectively with all relevant external role players/key relationships. * Continuously update all systems with the required information.
