Median advertised monthly salary
| Category | Median (R / month) | Vacancies |
|---|---|---|
| Accounting & Finance | R23 800 | 16 |
| Skilled Trades & Artisans | R21 200 | 10 |
Most adverts don't state a salary. These medians use only vacancies that do, so treat them as indicative.
Methodology
Based on vacancies indexed by SPANi from employer career sites, public ATS feeds, government circulars and job boards. Duplicates listed on several sites are counted once. Figures describe SPANi's index, not the entire South African labour market. Groups with fewer than 3 vacancies are omitted; salary medians use only explicitly advertised monthly rand salaries with at least 10 vacancies per group.
