Job description
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the outbound delivery process from planning through to final settlement.
* Coordinate and monitor Proof of Delivery (POD) processes, including POD verification, reconciliation and KPI reporting.
* Monitor and investigate failed deliveries, delivery delays, shortages, overages and outstanding shipments.
* Manage Stock-in-Transit (SIT) reports, ageing stock, pending deliveries and delivery status updates.
* Liaise daily with transport service providers, warehouses and customers to ensure on-time deliveries and proactive communication.
* Monitor Goods Issue (GI) processes and system interfaces to ensure accurate and timely processing.
* Investigate logistics system exceptions, including material, customer and postal code errors.
* Assist with inventory management, quarterly stock counts and irregularity reporting.
* Maintain logistics records, performance reports and outbound cost reporting.
* Ensure logistics KPIs, customer service levels and operational targets are achieved.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the outbound logistics operation.
Minimum Requirements
* Matric (Grade 12).
* Minimum 1–3 years' experience in an outbound logistics, POD administration or freight forwarding environment.
* Working knowledge of outbound distribution and transport operations.
* Experience working with logistics or warehouse management systems.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Understanding of local distribution, warehousing and inventory management principles.
