Continuously review sites and JVs financial control processes and identify possible risks. Propose and implement solutions/controls to strengthen control environment and foster a culture of continuous improvement. * Perform monthly audits to ensure adherence to internal control principles and assist in stock verification as and when required. * Support business unit to ensure adherence to financial control policies (financial, IT and materials) and procedures and good corporate governance principles & practices. * Adhere to Excise policies and procedures and ensure documentation and administration is suitably maintained. * Ensure adherence and provide necessary support to the capital expenditure process as well as ensuring validity and accuracy of the asset register. * Involved in stock management and assist with stock takes, identification of slow moving and obsolete stock. Escalate to management team any stock risks. * Participate in cross site audits and stock takes. * Develop level 2 & 3 management financial competencies / capability in business unit. * Implement new ideas and improve methods, systems and work processes that will lead to higher quality, better results, and reduced costs. * Support and assist site managers in compiling OPEX and CAPEX budgets and forecasts. * Co-ordinate the processing of budgets and forecasts. * Managing of the Monthly Barrel reconciliations across sites. * Responsible for the accurate and timeous end to end processing and reconciliation of all financial transactions, management accounts and reporting relating to the JV’s. **Requirements (from the original advert)** * BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification completed. * CIMA/ BCom Accounting honours. * Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the area of Management Accounting and/or Controlling, ideally in Supply Chain.
