Job description
Minimum Requirements:
* Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
* Basic knowledge of laser machine operations and manufacturing processes
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately
* Good understanding of quality standards and production procedures
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and verify the correct material for production requirements
* Set up and operate laser cutting machines according to specifications
* Load and manage machine programs accurately
* Interpret technical drawings and job cards to ensure precise cutting of components
* Monitor machine performance to ensure efficient, accurate, and error-free operation
* Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts are burr-free, dimensionally correct, and meet quality standards
* Ensure correct quantities are produced and recorded
* Pack completed components in accordance with the “One Job – One Pallet” procedure
* Complete production and quality control documentation accurately
* Ensure materials are loaded and handled correctly to avoid damage or production delays
* Maintain production targets and minimise material wastage
* Report machine faults, defects, or production concerns to the relevant Supervisor
