Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately capture stock receipts, issues, returns and material movements.
* Maintain stock records, reconcile physical stock against system records and investigate discrepancies.
* Verify source documents, material identification and bill of materials (BOM) information before capturing transactions.
* Assist with cycle counts, stock takes and the control of materials and offcuts.
* Perform final quality checks against job cards, checking dimensions, tolerances, finish, quantities and workmanship.
* Use basic precision measuring equipment and report defects or questionable work.
* Prepare and verify goods for dispatch and collection, ensuring the correct items and quantities leave or return.
* Coordinate dispatch documentation, collections and route requirements.
* Maintain clear records and promptly report shortages, discrepancies, damage and quality concerns.
Essential Requirements:
* Previous stock control, stores or warehouse experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Strong Excel skills, numeracy and administrative accuracy.
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow established processes.
* Comfortable working hands-on in a factory environment.
* Ability to organize competing priorities and complete checks consistently.
* A responsible approach to stock accuracy, quality and recordkeeping.
Advantageous
* Experience with BOMs, ERP, SAP or similar stock systems.
* Exposure to engineering drawings, material grades and precision measuring equipment.
* Previous quality inspection experience.
* Code 8 driver’s license for the dispatch component.
