Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Snowflake & Business Intelligence
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a Snowflake data platform implementation. The successful candidate will coordinate the technical Business Intelligence team, manage project delivery and work closely with business stakeholders to ensure the platform supports reliable data, reporting and analytics.
The role requires strong technical project management experience, an understanding of data platform implementations and experience delivering Power BI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the Snowflake implementation from planning and requirements through development, testing, deployment and handover.
* Coordinate delivery across BI developers, data engineers, architects, analysts and implementation partners.
* Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, resource requirements and delivery milestones.
* Manage scope, budget, risks, issues and dependencies, escalating blockers and driving resolution.
* Oversee data integration, migration, pipelines, data modelling and reporting activities.
* Coordinate Power BI delivery, ensuring reporting requirements align with the Snowflake platform and business needs.
* Work with stakeholders to define priorities, agree acceptance criteria and track progress.
* Coordinate data validation, system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
* Ensure security, data governance and operational support requirements are incorporated into delivery.
* Provide clear project reporting and manage deployment readiness, documentation and handover.
Minimum Requirements
* Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering complex technology projects.
* Experience leading technical BI or data engineering teams.
* Experience managing a Snowflake implementation or a significant Snowflake delivery project.
* Experience delivering Power BI reporting and analytics solutions.
* Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration and data modelling.
* Strong project planning, governance, risk management and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience managing technical dependencies across multiple teams and vendors.
* Ability to translate technical delivery challenges into clear business updates and decisions.
* Experience working with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches.
Advantageous
* Retail industry experience, particularly within a large enterprise environment.
* Experience migrating from legacy data warehouses or BI platforms.
* Relevant project management certification, such as PMP, PRINCE2 or an Agile certification.
* Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field.
Key Competencies
Strong delivery ownership, technical understanding, problem-solving, communication and the ability to keep teams aligned around agreed priorities and outcomes.
