? KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Electrical maintenance and repairs on mining equipment and infrastructure.
* Installation, maintenance and fault-finding of electrical systems.
* Conducting preventative and planned electrical maintenance.
* Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults efficiently and safely.
* Working on fuel systems, fuel dispensing equipment, fuel pumps and associated electrical installations.
* Maintaining and troubleshooting electrical panels, control systems, motors, pumps and related equipment.
* Carrying out electrical inspections and ensuring equipment is safe and operational.
* Testing electrical equipment and installations.
* Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, diagrams and schematics.
* Performing breakdown maintenance and responding to electrical faults.
* Ensuring all electrical work complies with applicable mining legislation, safety standards and company procedures.
* Completing maintenance reports, job cards and relevant documentation.
* Maintaining accurate records of inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance.
* Working closely with the maintenance and mining teams to minimise equipment downtime.
* Identifying potential electrical problems before they result in breakdowns.
* Ensuring all work is carried out according to mine Health & Safety requirements.
* Adhering to lock-out/tag-out and safe isolation procedures.
* Maintaining good housekeeping in work areas.
* Assisting with new electrical installations, upgrades and modifications where required.
* Participating in emergency and breakdown call-outs when required.
* Maintaining electrical tools and equipment in good working condition.
* Following all company policies, procedures and safety regulations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* Electrical Trade Test / Red Seal Electrician qualification.
* Proven mining electrical experience is essential.
* Mining electrical experience on fuel systems is essential.
* Proven experience with fuel dispensing equipment, fuel pumps and associated electrical installations.
* Experience with electrical fault-finding and preventative maintenance.
* Knowledge of mining electrical systems and equipment.
* Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
* Strong knowledge of electrical safety and mining safety procedures.
* Valid driver's licence.
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Must reside within a reasonable daily commuting distance of the Kuruman / Khatu workplace.
