Qualifications and Skills
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
* Grade 11
* Experience 2 years of experience in maintenance or a similar field
* Experience with specific equipment or machinery relevant to the industry may be required
* Good interpersonal relationships
* Honesty and trustworthy
* Ability to handle pressure
* Electrical Skills – Understanding of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and troubleshooting
* Strength and Stamina – Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding environments
* Adaptability to different working arears and conditions
* Must be willing to work shifts
* Must have own accommodation and transport
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Keep the facility running and prepare any problems when they discover before they have a chance to worsen.
* Identify possible unforeseen circumstances and plan alternative action in advance.
* Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary.
* Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and take appropriate
* Proper use of equipment and chemicals and company policies and procedures
* Use correct working methods according to ISO and HACCP standards.
* Attending relevant Safety Representative and Committee meetings if required to do so.
