Job description
This role is responsible for ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently while minimising breakdowns, maintaining product quality and supporting continuous production.

Minimum Requirements:
* Grade 12 Certificate (NQF 4).
* Electrical or Mechanical trade test.
* Up to 3 years' operator experience within a manufacturing environment.
* Basic computer literacy (MS Office, SAP, ERP systems and related manufacturing software).
Technical Competencies:
* Knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance.
* Understanding of maintenance practices, methodologies and standard operating procedures.
* Knowledge of housekeeping and workplace safety principles.
* Ability to operate machinery in accordance with supplier operating manuals.
* Basic fault-finding and preventative maintenance knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and maintain Negative and Positive Pasting Lines, including the Expander, Tab Blanker, Hopper, Divider and Stacker in accordance with supplier operating manuals.
* Ensure production equipment consistently produces quality products at the required production rates.
* Monitor and maintain extraction and cooling systems to ensure optimal equipment performance.
* Carry out first-line repairs and maintenance to minimise equipment failures and production downtime.
* Complete job cards before maintenance work commences.
* Accurately complete production logs, attribute charts and SPC documentation in accordance with work instructions.
* Operate within company procedures, policies and manufacturing standards.
* Identify and report equipment faults, risks and operational concerns to the Section Manager.
* Promote safe working practices and maintain high housekeeping standards.
* Support cost control initiatives by reducing waste and ensuring the effective use of materials and resources.
* Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and internal customers.
* Identify and resolve operational problems while maintaining AutoX's quality and service standards.
