Job description
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules.
* Establish project baselines and track progress against approved programmes.
* Coordinate scheduling information from project managers, engineers, site supervisors and subcontractors.
* Monitor project milestones, deliverables, resources and deadlines.
* Identify critical-path activities, scheduling risks and potential delays.
* Recommend corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.
* Prepare progress, planning and schedule-variance reports.
* Support project controls, reporting and document-control processes.
* Maintain accurate records of schedule updates, revisions and approvals.
Minimum Requirements:
* Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
* At least 3 years’ project planning or scheduling experience, preferably within the electrical, construction, engineering or infrastructure sectors.
* Proven proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software.
* Sound understanding of project lifecycles, dependencies, milestones, critical-path planning and progress tracking.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
* Ability to prepare clear reports and communicate scheduling information effectively.
* A relevant qualification in project management, construction management, engineering, planning or a related field would be advantageous.
* A valid driver’s licence would be advantageous.
