Quality Controller

We are seeking a detail-driven Quality Controller to join a food manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring incoming raw materials, ingredients and packaging meet the required quality, safety and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities * Inspect incoming raw spices, liquid ingredients and packaging materials. * Conduct vehicle and delivery audits before offloading. * Verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs), Certificates of Conformance (COCs) and supplier documentation. * Collect samples and conduct basic quality tests, including pH and moisture testing. * Perform sensory assessments of taste, colour and aroma. * Identify and report non-conforming materials. * Maintain accurate quality and traceability records. * Coordinate supplier returns, product holds and corrective actions. Requirements * Matric / Grade 12. * National Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or Quality Control is preferred. * 1–3 years' experience in a food,  or FMCG manufacturing environment. * Knowledge of GMP, GLP and HACCP principles. * Basic computer literacy, including Excel and ERP systems. * Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
