Job Title: Head of Content Research
Salary: $2,000 – $3,000+ USD/month (flexible for top-tier talent)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9–5 EST
About the Role
A high-performing creator-operator building across three integrated businesses:
* A fast-growing personal brand producing short-form (Instagram, TikTok) and long-form (YouTube) content focused on tech, AI, and business
* An education business teaching founders how to scale content, workflows, and monetization
* A proprietary SaaS platform that analyzes content trends across platforms using transcripts, hooks, and outlier performance data
This is a highly data-driven, fast-moving environment where content is treated as a performance engine, not just output.
The team already includes editors, offshore support, and tools but lacks a true content strategist/researcher who can surface high-quality, non-obvious insights that directly shape content direction.
The Opportunity
This is not a typical “social media” role.
We’re looking for a senior content thinker, someone who understands *why* content works, not just how to post it.
You’ll act as the insight engine behind the brand, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities that can immediately be turned into high-performing content.
Key Responsibilities
* Continuously scan YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms for emerging trends
* Use internal and external research to identify non-obvious, data-backed content patterns
* Analyze hooks, formats, storytelling styles, pacing, and topic trends
* Aggregate and present 3–5 high-quality insights at a time, including:
+ Supporting examples (links, creators, formats)
+ Clear rationale (why it works)
+ Data-backed validation (outlier performance, cross-platform trends)
* Combine:
+ Open discovery (new trends, zeitgeist)
+ Structured analysis (data exports, transcripts, analytics)
* Leverage tools like ChatGPT/Claude to synthesize and validate insights
* Deliver insights that are:
+ Interesting
+ Non-obvious
+ Immediately actionable
What “Great” Looks Like
* You can spot patterns in 1–2 hours that others would miss entirely
* Your insights feel sharp, original, and defensible
* You think like a content strategist for top creators or agencies
* You don’t wait for direction — you define what matters
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Experience as:
+ Content Strategist for a major creator, brand, or agency
+ OR deeply embedded in high-performance content ecosystems
* Strong analytical mindset, comfortable working with data, trends, and pattern recognition
* Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) for research and synthesis
* Deep understanding of:
+ Virality mechanics
+ Hooks and retention
+ Storytelling formats across platforms
* Ability to independently define what’s working, not rely on surface-level metrics
