Engineering - Engineering Management Durban FULL TIME Job Summary Key Responsibilities: ? Health & Safety Compliance * Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act) and company policies * Implement and monitor site-specific Health & Safety Plans * Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments * Ensure all safety files are up to date and compliant ? Site Monitoring & Control * Enforce the use of PPE (helmets, harnesses, gloves, etc.) * Monitor high-risk activities (working at heights, glass installation, lifting operations) * Stop unsafe work practices immediately ? Incident Management * Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses * Compile and submit detailed incident reports * Implement corrective and preventative measures ? Training & Inductions * Conduct site safety inductions for employees and subcontractors * Provide toolbox talks and ongoing safety training * Ensure all workers are competent and certified for their tasks ? Documentation & Reporting * Maintain safety registers, checklists, and compliance records * Ensure subcontractor compliance (medicals, PPE, legal documents) * Submit weekly/monthly safety reports to management ? Contractor & Client Liaison * Work closely with site managers, project managers, and subcontractors * Attend safety meetings and audits * Ensure compliance with client-specific safety requirements Riseup Management Recruiter
