Job description

Duties: Manage guesthouse bookings from enquiry through to departure. Respond to booking enquiries via telephone, email and other communication channels. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date booking system. Confirm bookings and communicate all relevant information to guests. Conduct guest check-ins and check-outs. Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Handle guest queries, requests and complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure guests receive an excellent overall experience. Follow up on guest feedback and address issues where necessary. Manage all guesthouse administration. Check and confirm payments received for bookings. Follow up on outstanding payments and deposits. Issue invoices and receipts where required. Ensure all booking and payment information is correctly recorded. Maintain accurate guest records and documentation. Assist with daily and monthly reporting. Manage cancellations, amendments and refunds according to company procedures. Ensure all guesthouse financial and administrative procedures are followed. Day-to-Day Guesthouse Operations: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas. Ensure rooms and guest areas are ready for arrivals. Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance regarding outstanding issues. Report maintenance problems and follow up to ensure they are resolved. Monitor stock levels of guesthouse supplies and request replenishment when required. Assist with the coordination of housekeeping and other operational requirements. Ensure the guesthouse maintains the standards expected. Be available to assist with operational requirements when needed. Requirements: Previous experience in guesthouse, hotel, lodge or hospitality management. Previous experience with bookings and guest relations. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Experience handling payments, invoices and financial administration. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professional and friendly manner. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Ability to handle pressure and busy periods. Good computer literacy. Reliable transport will be advantageous. Knowledge of booking or hospitality management systems will be advantageous. Working Hours: This is a hospitality management position and will require flexibility. The successful candidate must be willing to work weekends, public holidays and outside of standard office hours when operationally required. Craven Cottage CC Recruiter
