Job description
We are looking for a highly motivated and organised Plant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our treatment plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the plant, managing a team of production staff, and maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency.
Job Duties:
* Manage and coordinate the operations of the medical waste treatment plant
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
* Oversee the disposal and treatment of medical waste materials
* Maintain records of waste processing activities
* Train and supervise plant staff
* Implement and enforce plant procedures and policies
* Monitor equipment performance and maintenance
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a waste treatment plant
* Knowledge of medical waste regulations and best practises
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Education:
Must have a matric and a relevant qualification is an added advantage
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a waste treatment plant
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of waste treatment processes
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations
* Strong problem-solving abilities
* Must have electrical experience
* Must have mechanical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certification in Waste Management
* Experience working in the healthcare industry
Working Conditions:
The role involves working in a medical waste treatment plant environment. It may require occasional weekend or evening shifts.
