Job description
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out general building and property repairs and preventative maintenance.
* Perform basic plumbing, painting, patching, carpentry and minor repairs.
* Repair and maintain doors, locks, fittings, gutters and drains.
* Assist with workshop and factory infrastructure maintenance where appropriate and safe.
* Identify maintenance problems early and report larger repairs or work requiring specialist attention.
* Maintain tools and materials and keep a simple maintenance task list.
* Prioritise daily maintenance requirements and follow through on outstanding work.
* Help maintain clean, safe and orderly premises.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven practical experience in building or property maintenance.
* Good all-round handyman skills and practical problem-solving ability.
* Ability to carry out routine repairs independently.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage maintenance priorities.
* A reliable, trustworthy and responsible approach to work.
* Flexibility to move between different maintenance tasks.
* A good understanding of safe working practices.
* Ability to recognise and escalate work beyond your skills or competency.
Advantageous
* Additional experience in basic plumbing, carpentry, welding or fabrication.
* Basic electrical maintenance exposure.
* Experience maintaining industrial or commercial premises.
* A valid driver’s licence.
