Job description

To qualify for this position, you need: * Grade 12 / Matric * Diploma/Degree in Payroll, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related field. * Minimum 3 years experience in payroll administration. * Proven experience processing payroll for a medium to large workforce. * Experience with payrolls of approximately 300+ employees (highly advantageous). * Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation. * Practical experience with SARS payroll submissions. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to: Payroll Administration * Process the monthly payroll for all employees. * Ensure accurate and timely processing of salaries. * Capture and maintain new employees, terminations, promotions, salary adjustments and other payroll changes. * Process monthly payroll inputs including: + New starters + Terminations + Salary increases + Bonuses + Commissions + Overtime + Allowances + Deductions + Unpaid leave + Sick leave + Annual leave + Other payroll adjustments. * Verify payroll information before submission for approval. * Prepare payroll reports and payroll reconciliations. * Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Employee Records * Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records. * Ensure all payroll documentation is properly filed and maintained. * Process changes to employee banking details. * Maintain employee tax information and statutory details. * Assist with employee queries relating to salaries, deductions, leave and payroll-related matters. Statutory Compliance * Ensure payroll is processed in accordance with South African legislation. * Prepare and submit statutory payroll requirements, including: + PAYE + UIF + SDL + EMP201 + EMP501 + IRP5/IT3(a) certificates. * Maintain accurate records for SARS and other statutory requirements. * Assist with payroll audits and SARS-related queries when required. * Keep up to date with changes to South African payroll legislation and regulations. Leave Administration * Maintain accurate employee leave balances. * Process annual, sick, family responsibility and other applicable leave. * Reconcile leave records against payroll. * Work closely with HR to resolve discrepancies. Payroll Reconciliations & Reporting * Perform monthly payroll reconciliations. * Reconcile payroll to the general ledger where required. * Identify and investigate payroll discrepancies. * Prepare monthly payroll reports for Finance and management. * Assist with payroll budgeting and reporting when required. HR & Finance Collaboration * Work closely with HR regarding employee movements and payroll changes. * Liaise with Finance regarding payroll journals and reconciliations. * Provide payroll information and reports to management as required. * Assist HR with onboarding and offboarding processes from a payroll perspective. * Complete all UIF-related documentation. *If you do not receive feedback within two weeks of submitting your application, please consider your application unsuccessful.* I Grow Wealth Investments Recruiter
