Job description
Minimum requirements
* BCom Accounting, Financial Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
* Completed articles through SAICA, SAIPA or a similar recognised professional body.
* At least 3–5 years’ post-articles experience in an accounting role with broad financial responsibility.
* Proven experience preparing monthly management accounts, VAT reconciliations and audit support documentation.
* Sound working knowledge of IFRS and South African VAT requirements.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to meet demanding reporting deadlines.
* Ability to work independently while effectively leading and supporting a small team.
Advantageous experience
* Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, agriculture, food production, abattoir or meat-processing environments.
* Experience with Abaserve and/or Xero.
* Exposure to stock, cost accounting, production-related reporting or operational finance.
