Minimum Requirements:
* Matric (Grade 12)
* Relevant technical qualification such as Millwright, Electrician, Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
* 4-6 years proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment
* Previous supervisory or management experience
* Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
* Sound understanding of preventative maintenance principles and maintenance planning
* Experience managing maintenance teams, contractors, and external service providers
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
* Computer literacy with experience using maintenance management systems and maintenance records
* Valid driver's licence
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the maintenance team and all day-to-day maintenance operations
* Develop, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance programmes to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability
* Coordinate equipment breakdowns and ensure corrective actions are completed and effectively followed up
* Take overall responsibility for the maintenance and reliability of production equipment and machinery
* Oversee the maintenance of buildings, facilities, utilities, and infrastructure
* Ensure all company assets, including mobile equipment, material-handling equipment, workshop equipment, and tools, are properly serviced and maintained
* Manage maintenance spares, equipment, and maintenance-related budgets
* Coordinate and oversee contractors and external service providers where required
* Ensure all statutory inspections, servicing schedules, and safety requirements are completed and maintained
* Identify recurring equipment failures and implement effective root-cause solutions
* Plan and coordinate maintenance requirements for plant shutdowns and major repair projects
* Collaborate closely with Production teams to minimise downtime and maintenance-related disruptions
* Work alongside Engineering teams on larger mechanical, electrical, PLC, automation, and equipment improvement project
* Manage, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the required standard
