    Job description

    Key Responsibilities \* Consult with clients and counsel and provide sound, practical legal advice. \* Manage complex litigation matters from inception to conclusion. \* Conduct legal research and analyse legal precedents and probable outcomes. \* Draft pleadings, legal opinions, correspondence, applications and other legal documents. \* Prepare matters for High Court, Magistrate’s Court, tribunal and arbitration proceedings. \* Gather, assess and compile evidence. \* Brief and liaise with counsel where required. \* Handle litigation with minimal reliance on advocates where appropriate. \* Represent clients in civil litigation, hearings and arbitrations. \* Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and legal documentation. \* Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships.  Minimum Requirements \* Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. \* Minimum 2 years’ post-admission litigation experience. \* Proven High Court and Magistrate’s Court litigation experience. \* Commercial litigation experience is highly advantageous. \* Exceptional legal drafting ability. \* Strong legal research and analytical skills. \* Excellent communication, negotiation and client-facing skills. \* Strong problem-solving ability. \* Able to work independently and manage a demanding caseload. \* Comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment. \* Strong leadership qualities. \* Computer literate. \* Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
