The consultant will work closely with the Group Reporting team and business unit finance teams to prepare, review and consolidate financial information, support regulatory and committee reporting, and assist with reporting process improvements. Required Experience * Qualified CA(SA). * 7 to 10 years’ financial accounting and reporting experience, including at least 5 years in insurance or financial services. * Strong group reporting, consolidation or insurance reporting experience, with exposure to life or non-life insurance preferred. * Sound knowledge of relevant financial reporting standards and local regulatory frameworks; QRT reporting experience would be advantageous. * Audit experience, preferably within financial services or insurance. * Ability to work independently in a fast-paced reporting environment and deliver high-quality outputs within tight deadlines. Required Knowledge and Skills * Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial accounting principles and group reporting processes. * Understanding of insurance financial reporting, regulatory reporting and related prudential requirements. * Advanced Excel capability, including the ability to work with complex reporting workbooks, reconciliations and data extracts. * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify issues, investigate variances and explain financial movements clearly. * Good business acumen and ability to interpret financial information in a commercial context. * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to engage with business unit finance teams and senior finance stakeholders. * Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing priorities and maintain quality during peak reporting cycles.
