Job description
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day finance function and finance team
* Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial reports
* Oversee reconciliations, journals, debtors, creditors and payment processes
* Manage VAT, PAYE, Customs and other statutory tax requirements
* Analyse costs, pricing, margins and actual performance against budget
* Maintain effective financial controls, accounting procedures and fixed asset records
* Manage external audits and ensure statutory compliance
* Provide management with accurate financial information and meaningful business analysis
* Oversee banking, foreign exchange, supplier and other financial processes
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a Financial Manager or senior finance role
* Strong manufacturing environment experience – essential
* Solid financial and accounting knowledge with strong reporting and analytical skills
* Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
* Experience managing and motivating a finance team
* Strong knowledge of reconciliations, journals, AP / AR and statutory requirements
* Excellent attention to detail, organisation and problem-solving ability
* Able to work independently, under pressure adhering to tight deadlines
* A hands-on, professional and commercially minded approach
