Job description
An established organisation within the environmental sector is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Account Analyst to join its team in Johannesburg. This role offers a unique combination of finance, data analysis, reporting, compliance and stakeholder engagement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers and wants exposure to a specialised industry. Duties & Responsibilities:
* Process membership applications and respond to member queries
* Maintain accurate member records and registers
* Assist with member invoicing and debtor management
* Follow up on member tonnage declarations
* Capture and analyse tonnage data
* Prepare reports and financial information for management
* Support the Financial Manager with monthly management accounts
* Prepare interim and annual regulatory reports
* Assist with internal and external audits
* Assist with EPR fee collection and payment processes
Qualifications & Skills:
* Matric
* BCom or equivalent
* Finance or Accounting modules advantageous
* Minimum 2-5 years’ experience
* Proven reconciliation experience
* Strong accounting knowledge
