HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER – Distribution Centre Area: Durban Salary: Market Related Our client, a leading multi-site distribution and supply chain operation, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to act as the strategic people partner to their Distribution Centres. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned HR generalist with strong Employee Relations expertise to influence business outcomes through data-driven, people-focused HR solutions. The successful candidate will partner closely with operational leadership to build a high-performing, compliant and engaged workforce — driving workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, organisational development and people analytics across the business. Key Responsibilities * Partner with Distribution Centre leadership to align HR strategy with operational objectives and provide strategic HR advice and coaching to managers. * Drive talent management, succession planning and retention strategies for critical and high-potential roles. * Champion the performance management framework, coaching managers and facilitating review and calibration discussions. * Manage the full Employee and Labour Relations function — disciplinary, grievance, incapacity and poor performance processes, investigations, and representation at CCMA conciliations and arbitrations. * Drive employee engagement, wellness and culture initiatives across all Distribution Centres. * Build and maintain strong relationships with operational leaders, HR Centres of Excellence, bargaining councils, the CCMA, and the Department of Employment and Labour. * Analyse workforce data and produce reports and dashboards that inform business decision-making. * Ensure ongoing compliance with labour legislation, Employment Equity requirements and HR governance standards. * Coordinate HR projects and support the roll-out of Learning & Development initiatives across sites. What You'll Need Qualification: * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations or a related field (postgraduate qualification advantageous). Experience: * 5–8 years' HR experience, including a minimum of 3 years as an HR Business Partner. * Experience within a multi-site operational environment such as Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, FMCG or QSR. * Extensive Employee Relations and Labour Relations experience, with proven experience representing organisations at the CCMA. Knowledge: * Sound working knowledge of the LRA, BCEA, EEA, COIDA and SDA. * Strong HR analytics and reporting capability, including Advanced Excel and, ideally, Power BI or similar tools. * Exposure to HRIS and reporting systems. Correspondence will only be conducted with short listed candidates. Should you not hear from us within 14 days then please consider your application as unsuccessful. SRG Recruitment Recruiter
