Job description
Education:
* BEng Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Instrumentation Engineering
Job Experience & Skills Required:
* Experience in Electrical, Control and Instrumentation engineering within mining, mineral processing, and industrial plants
* Knowledge of PLC, SCADA and DCS systems
* Experience with MCCs, VSDs, instrumentation and control system integration
* Project execution and commissioning experience
* Ability to develop engineering standards and specifications
Duties:
* Design and develop electrical, control and instrumentation systems for mineral processing plants and industrial facilities.
* Produce electrical designs, cable schedules, instrument indexes and control philosophies.
* Develop PLC and SCADA functional specifications and oversee software integration activities.
* Conduct instrument selection, sizing and specification for process control applications.
* Manage project execution from concept design through detailed engineering and commissioning.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities to ensure successful project delivery.
* Perform site inspections, commissioning and troubleshooting of plant control systems.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements and client specifications.
* Support plant optimisation initiatives through automation and process improvement projects.
* Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
