Engineering - Chemical Engineering Western Cape FULL TIME R40 000,00 - R50 000,00 (PER MONTH) Job Summary Key Responsibilities * Full responsibility for the General Ledger and month-end close * Prepare and review balance sheet and creditor reconciliations * Process and review journals, including salary journals * Oversee accounts payable and related processes * Perform GRN reconciliations and allocations * Support payroll accounting and ensure control accounts reconcile * Supervise and develop two Creditors Clerks * Investigate variances and resolve discrepancies * Maintain and improve financial controls and processes * Ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting * Work closely with management on financial matters Minimum Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field * Minimum 5 years’ financial accounting experience * Strong understanding of accounting principles and entries * Experience with reconciliations, journals, and AP processes * Solid ERP system experience (Odoo advantageous) * Strong Excel skills and overall computer literacy * High attention to detail and strong analytical ability * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines * Strong communication skills in Afrikaans and English The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: * Notices details others miss and questions inconsistencies * Takes ownership and works proactively * Enjoys improving processes and solving problems * Is comfortable being hands-on while managing a small team * Works accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment O'Brien Recruitment Recruiter
