Job Summary
Minimum requirements:
* LLB & Admitted Attorney
* 3–5 years’ experience in legal collections / recoveries
* Exposure to secured lending litigation (advantageous)
* Experience in high-volume litigation environments
* 2–3 years’ team management experience
* Strong Excel skills (essential)
* Manage high-volume litigation from summons to judgment and recovery
* Draft and review pleadings, summons, and judgment packs
* Oversee vehicle recoveries, voluntary surrenders, and settlements
* Monitor performance, trends, and risk within the portfolio
* Lead and manage legal secretaries and admin staff
* Maintain accurate system and workflow updates (e.g. Cheetah)
* Liaise with sheriffs, correspondent attorneys, and clients
* Handle queries, escalations, and legal risks
* Report on performance and forecasts
* Ensure compliance with NCA, Prescription Act, FICA & Debt Collectors Act
* Magistrates’ & High Court Rules
* Companies Act, CPA & Municipal legislation
* Manage billing, reporting, and financial targets
