Location: Remote (South Africa or Latin America)
Hours: US Time Zones (PST to EST overlap); roughly 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM / 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Includes rotating Saturdays with a weekday off)
Type: Full-time Independent Contractor
Salary Range: $1,500 – $2,200 USD per month (based on experience and location)
About the Role
We are a fast-moving consumer brand looking for a resourceful, people-savvy operator to join our small but mighty team. This is not a pure social media role, and it is not a pure admin role, it sits squarely in the middle. You will be the connective tissue between our community, our brand voice, our wholesale partners, and our internal data. If you thrive on variety, move quickly, and genuinely enjoy talking to people across very different contexts (from TikTok creators to boutique shop owners), this role was built for you. This is a unique "triple-threat" role that sits at the intersection of Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
Note: We have strong creative and marketing leadership already on the team. We are not looking for another creative. We need a structured, solutions-oriented operator who keeps everything running smoothly and will grow with us as our tools and tactics evolve.
What You’ll Do
Social Media & Community Management (40-50%)
* Engagement: Manage day-to-day interactions across Instagram, TikTok, and Discord. Respond to comments, DMs, and community posts with speed and a brand-appropriate tone.
* Context Switching: Seamlessly switch between audiences: our millennial Instagram community, TikTok viewers, affiliate creators in Discord, and wholesale shop owners on Faire.
* UGC Curation: Monitor tagged posts and stories; approve high-quality UGC content and add approved stories to our brand feed to keep the social presence community-driven.
* High-Value Flagging: Immediately notify the marketing team of notable accounts, press mentions, or major creator tags so we can act fast.
* Affiliate Support: Manage the TikTok affiliate community in Discord—welcoming new affiliates, sending onboarding sequences, and keeping the creator community "warm."
Data Logging & Marketing Operations
* Analytics: Pull and log weekly marketing analytics across platforms for team analysis.
* Klaviyo Implementation: Assist with email implementation in Klaviyo: take designer-ready email templates, build them in Klaviyo, and QA all links before sending.
* Documentation: Maintain clean, organized tracking sheets and internal operational documentation.
Wholesale Sales Support (Faire) (40-50%)
* Outreach: Assist with outreach and follow-up to wholesale prospects and existing accounts via Faire.
* Relationship Management: Communicate with zero-waste boutiques, surf shops, and specialty retailers in a way that reflects their specific industry priorities.
* Ops Support: Support order management, account activity tracking, and lead-generation campaigns within the wholesale platform.
* Process campaigns to help bring in new leads/customers
Customer Experience (CX) Backup (10-20%)
* Scheduled Support: Cover urgent customer support tickets (approx. 2–4 hours per week) to maintain team redundancy and platform familiarity.
* High-Priority Touchpoints: Handle escalated inbound messages, reviews, and TikTok Shop inquiries when the primary CX lead is unavailable.
* Tools: Utilize Gorgias (or equivalent) to resolve issues with high empathy and efficiency.
Requirements
REQUIRED
* 1+ year of hands-on experience managing Instagram (comments, DMs, stories) for a brand or agency.
* Tone Fluidity: Proven ability to adjust voice for different audiences (B2B vs. B2C).
* Operational Mindset: Highly organized and self-directed; able to manage data entry and community engagement in the same afternoon without dropping the ball.
* Tech Literacy: Comfortable learning new software quickly (Gorgias, Klaviyo, Shopify, Faire, Discord).
* B2B Familiarity: Experience with wholesale sales or outreach, ideally in the consumer products space.
PREFERRED
* Platform Expertise: Familiarity with Faire or similar wholesale platforms.
* Email Ops: Background in email marketing operations (building/QA’ing campaigns in Klaviyo or similar ESP).
* Startup DNA: Prior experience in an admin, ops, or coordinator role within a small business or startup.
* Experience working with or supporting a customer support function.
A PLUS
* TikTok Savvy: Active knowledge of the TikTok Shop / TikTok Affiliate program. If you already "live" in TikTok, you’re a strong candidate.
* Discord Management: Experience managing brand servers or creator communities.
* Helpdesk Experience: Familiarity with Gorgias or similar CX platforms.
* Experience logging or pulling data from platforms like Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, or TikTok Analytics.

What We’re NOT Looking For
* An aspiring influencer primarily interested in building a personal brand.
* Someone who insists on "getting on a call" when a well-crafted DM or email is more efficient.
* A purely linear "admin" thinker who needs every minor task spelled out step-by-step.
* A person who resists changing workflows or tools.
