Maintenance Coordinator Location: South Africa  Schedule: Full-time, U.S. working hours (CST or EST overlap) Industry: Property Management Salary Range: $1,300 – $2,000 USD/month About the Role A growing U.S.-based property management firm, is hiring 2 Maintenance Coordinators to support its expanding portfolio of residential properties. This is a long-term, full-time remote role with a U.S. company that values proactive communication, reliability, and critical thinking. As a Maintenance Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for tenants reporting maintenance issues. You’ll triage, prioritize, and assign work orders through platforms like AppFolio and Property Meld — ensuring that repairs are handled quickly and efficiently. Responsibilities: * Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and owners in a timely and professional manner * Triage and prioritize work orders based on urgency and severity * Dispatch service vendors or in-house technicians * Communicate with residents and vendors to follow up on repairs and completion timelines * Use AppFolio and Property Meld to manage and track maintenance issues * Document all communications and status updates within the system * Support the property management team with reporting and vendor coordination Requirements: * 2+ years of experience in a Maintenance Coordinator or similar role within property management * Excellent written and spoken English * Strong customer service orientation — calm, friendly, and solutions-focused under pressure * Detail-oriented and organized — able to juggle multiple requests and priorities * Critical thinker — able to assess maintenance requests and determine the best course of action * Familiarity with urgency ranking of maintenance issues (e.g., emergency vs. routine) * Proficient in AppFolio and Property Meld (strongly preferred) * Able to work full-time during U.S. business hours (CST/EST overlap) Bonus: * Experience supporting U.S. property managers * Familiarity with U.S.-based housing laws or maintenance standards
