You’ll know how much money you’re making, and you’ll own it. Duties and Responsibilities: We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented accountant to join a growing business. This is a hands-on, client-focused role where you’ll not only manage day-to-day accounting tasks but also take ownership of month-end close processes, help streamline operations, and support multiple clients over time. You will play a key role in improving efficiency, standardizing processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow with a founder, take initiative, and contribute to shaping accounting operations. * Lead and manage month-end close processes, including: + Preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. + Ensuring all balance sheet and P&L accounts are accurate. + Reviewing client financial statements for completeness and accuracy. + Supporting internal reporting and analysis for business decision-making. * Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions. * Ensure payroll data is accurately reflected in accounting records; handle related reporting tasks such as 401(k) contributions. * Assist with process improvement initiatives, automation, and implementation of best practices. * Help develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency, scalability, and consistency across client accounts. * Collaborate with clients to provide accurate financial information, insights, and recommendations. * Support multiple clients over time, adapting to their specific accounting needs and reporting requirements. Minimum Requirements: Language requirement: Excellent English Communication Skills Education: Bachelor's Degree (ideally) Experience: 5+ years of related experience  Industry: preferably in a service-based or client-focused industry * 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a service-based or client-focused industry. * Strong understanding of month-end close processes and general accounting principles. * QuickBooks Online experience required * Familiarity with payroll systems like Gusto or ADP and experience with spend management tools such as Ramp or Bill.com is advantageous * Experience with payroll reporting and reconciling payroll-related financial data. * Familiarity with process documentation, SOP creation, or accounting standardization is a plus. * Strong English communication skills; ability to interact effectively with U.S.-based clients. * Proactive, self-starter attitude with a willingness to learn and implement improvements. * Prior experience in startups or multi-client environments is a bonus.
