BioScience Research, based in Durbanville, has an exciting opportunity for a highly focused and detail-oriented Data Capturer to support their field trial and evaluation operations.
This role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely capture of data from field activities into internal systems, directly contributing to the integrity and reliability of research and reporting. The ideal candidate is precise, dependable, and experienced in data handling, with a background in agriculture.
The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): \*Accurately capturing written information from field trials into the company’s data management system \*Capture and input efficacy assessment data from field evaluations into the proprietary software system (ARM) \*Verify and validate data for accuracy and completeness according to trial protocols \*Identify and report inconsistencies or missing information in field data \*Maintain organized records and ensure data is stored according to company protocols \*Work closely with field teams and researchers to clarify data where necessary \*Meet deadlines for data capturing and reporting whilst working independently and managing time effectively \*All other tasks related to this role.
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• Matric, an additional qualification in agriculture, data management, or related field will be advantageous;
• Minimum 1 year experience in a data capturing or similar role;
• Experience in agricultural or field trial environments is beneficial;
• Familiarity with ARM software or similar data systems will be advantageous;
• Basic understanding of agricultural terminology (advantageous);
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel);
• Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy;
• Strong ability to focus for extended periods on repetitive tasks;
• Own reliable transport.
