within the prescribed period, including unsafe acts/conditions, near miss, first aid, minor injuries, recordable, lost time, fatalities, environmental incidents and property damage. * Identify and advise the Site/Facilities Manager of all legally required surveys, assessments and inspections applicable to the site. e.g., hazardous chemical substances, illumination, noise, asbestos, air quality, emissions, pressure vessels, effluent monitoring etc. * Monitor and verify that appropriate statutory and operational inspections and testing are carried out at the required intervals. e.g., fire equipment, alarms, lifts and passenger conveyors, lifting equipment, vehicles, electrical installations, fire doors, compressors, boilers, HVAC etc. * Develop and/or implement specific controls such as permits for all activities classified as high risk through site specific risk assessments (e.g., Work at heights, Electrical work, Confined space work, Hot works, Excavations, Construction works). * Administer and execute the Nike site Work Permit / Permit-to-Work process. * Review work scopes and determine whether a permit is required. * Verify approved risk assessments, RAMS/method statements and supporting documentation before work starts. * Issue and authorise permits for applicable high-risk and controlled activities within delegated authority. * Verify isolations, barricading, access controls, PPE, competent persons and required control measures. * Conduct or coordinate pre-work permit briefings/toolbox talks and ensure permit conditions are understood. * Monitor work against permit conditions and stop, suspend or withdraw permits where conditions change or controls are not maintained. * Manage permit extensions, revalidation and handovers where applicable. * Ensure permits are properly closed out after completion of work and the area is left safe. * Maintain accurate permit records for audit and inspection. * Ensure that QHSE training needs are identified, documented and addressed for personnel working at the site. * Coordinate the training plan ensuring that all legal and technical mandatory training is provided to responsible and/or appointed persons. * Provide input to the Site/Facilities Manager regarding QHSE training requirements and budget needs. * Implement and maintain an on-going training and awareness programs including the toolbox talks. * Ensure the implementation of H&S induction for new personnel. * Ensure a site QHSE inspection and audit plan is documented and maintained. * Communicate the site audit and inspection plan to relevant stakeholders in advance. * Carry out internal audits as planned. * Assist sites in managing the closure of identified non-conformances. * Report audit findings on monthly reports and on the relevant portal. * Ensure that service providers and contractors comply with CBRE and Nike QHSE requirements. * Ensure all contractors working at the Nike Soweto Shapa Stadium are appropriately vetted for H&S compliance in line with CBRE, Nike and legal requirements. * Ensure that contractors develop, maintain and keep current site-specific H&S files. * Periodically inspect and audit contractor activities and performance in line with SLA, Nike, CBRE and legal requirements. * Ensure all contractors signed the indemnity agreement and have valid letter of good standing. * Ensure accurate and timely reporting of site QHSE KPIs on a monthly basis. * Review reported information to ensure accuracy, completeness and quality. * Ensure that reports are submitted on time, every time. **Requirements (from the original advert)** * National Diploma in Safety Management or NEBOSH International Diploma OHS or equivalent * Professional registrations e.g., IoSM, Saiosh, SACPCMP etc. * Demonstrated experience in administering and executing Permit-to-Work systems, including issuing, monitoring, suspending and closing permits for high-risk activities. * Minimum 5-years relevant QHSE experience, preferably within facilities management, commercial, retail, sports, construction or other complex operational environments. * Good knowledge of South African OHS, environmental and related legislative requirements applicable to the site. **Who should apply** This role is suitable for a QHSE professional with a National Diploma in Safety Management or NEBOSH International Diploma OHS (or equivalent) and relevant professional registrations.
