Essential Knowledge, Skills And Competencies Required: The successful candidate must have Knowledge of the: Dynamics, culture and language of targeted communities; how government operates; Human Resources and Financial Management; Project management; relevant legislation; Local Government legislation ; Government policies, prescripts and legislation; Planning; Team work; Decision making skills; Problem solving skills; Networking skills; Leadership skills; Report writing skills; Employee development; Analytical skills; Presentation skills; People management; Good communication skills (verbal & written) with other Government organizations and Private sector and good computer literacy in MS Office. DUTIES : The successful candidate will be required to Manage the Community Development Workers Programme within the district with the following responsibilities: Convene regular meetings with CDWs for briefing and reporting purposes on progress and problems experienced; Coordinate, monitor and report on the implementation of the CDW Programme within the District; Promote and maintain stakeholder relations; Provide CDWs with relevant information on government programmes for communities to benefit; Manage the resources under your control.
