Job Summary
The Financial Manager plays a critical role in analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making within the business. This role involves working closely with various departments to optimize processes, improve productivity, and drive growth.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* CIMA qualification.
* Honours degree.
* 3 years relevant experience will count in the candidate's favour.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Performance Metrics: Develops and maintains key performance indicators (KPI's) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of various operations.
* Forecasting: Uses historical data and market insights to create accurate forecasts and assist with resource allocation and inventory management.
* Process Improvement: Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and automation opportunities.
* Budgeting and Financial Analysis: Assists with budget preparation, variance analysis and financial modeling to ensure financial goals are met.
* Reporting: Prepares regular reports and dashboards for management and provides insights and actionable recommendations.
* Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities, and provides strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
* Business Analysis: Involved in analyzing financial information from Business Proposals and investments. Including cash flow needs, profitability and risk exposure. Attention to detail and ability to extract meaningful insights from data.
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE:
* Able to prioritize well between important tasks.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team and with cross-functional stakeholders.
* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI)
* Good communication skills in Afrikaans and English, both written and verbal.
* Problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically
