Tourism/Hospitality - Other Tourism/Hospitality Western Cape FULL TIME R15 000,00 (PER MONTH) Job Summary Duties & Responsibilities * Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers. * Prospect actively for new customers and business opportunities. * Grow sales across restaurants, supermarkets, delicatessens, food-service businesses and distributors. * Promote and sell a diverse range of food, beverage and catering-related products. * Conduct cold calling and follow up on prospective customer leads. * Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions. * Develop new accounts and increase sales within existing accounts. * Conduct regular customer visits throughout Cape Town. * Prepare and deliver customer presentations where required. * Negotiate effectively and close sales opportunities. * Monitor competitor activity, market developments and industry trends. * Identify potential new products and sales opportunities. * Provide management with feedback regarding customer requirements and market activity. * Coordinate customer requirements with internal departments. * Work towards and achieve agreed monthly sales targets. * Support marketing and promotional initiatives when required. Requirements * Proven sales experience, preferably in an external sales environment. * Experience within the hospitality, restaurant, food-service, FMCG, beverage, wine or liquor industries would be highly advantageous. * Previous experience selling to restaurants, supermarkets, delicatessens, food suppliers or distributors would be beneficial. * Strong new business development and prospecting ability. * Confident cold-calling skills. * Excellent customer relationship management abilities. * Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills. * Commercially minded and target driven. * Proactive, energetic and self-motivated. * Good MS Office skills. * Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions. * Professional and customer-focused approach. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team. * Valid driver’s licence. * Own reliable vehicle essential. * Willing and able to travel throughout Cape Town to visit customers.
