Manufacturing - Other Manufacturing Paarl FULL TIME Job Summary Key Responsibilities: * Ensure the optimal functioning of control and instrumentation components throughout the manufacturing facility. * Manage calibration records for process scales and weighbridges. * Calibrate and monitor process scales, electronic weighing systems and weighbridges. * Calibrate and oversee the proper functioning of electronic flowmeters. * Develop and update process control drawings for maintenance and projects using Microsoft Visio. * Plan modifications and alterations to Beckhoff I/O lists. * Submit updated I/O information to the relevant system integrator. * Assist electricians with automation fault-finding, including after-hours standby support when required. * Participate in the company’s continuous improvement programme. * Complete related technical and administrative duties accurately. Minimum Requirements: * Diploma or BTech degree in Electrical Engineering, including Industrial Control Systems as a subject. * At least five years’ post-qualification experience within a factory, plant or similar manufacturing environment. * Practical experience in industrial instrumentation and process control systems. * Experience with electronic weighing systems and PLCs. * Knowledge of variable-speed drives and soft starters would be beneficial. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Experience creating or updating technical drawings using Microsoft Visio. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Self-motivated and able to work independently. * Excellent attention to detail. * A balanced approach to hands-on plant work and technical administration. * Valid driver’s licence. * Ideally residing in Paarl or the surrounding area.
