Identify, investigate and resolve stock losses, discrepancies and shrinkage, and escalate suspected irregularities promptly and transparently. Maintain a clean, safe, orderly and well-organized storeroom environment that protects stock condition and value. Set, maintain and continuously review minimum and maximum stock levels to balance availability against working-capital efficiency. Manage the availability of critical spares to safeguard production continuity and minimize operational downtime. Proactively monitor critical spares and notify Procurement in good time when long-lead items need to be ordered, preventing production-impacting stock-outs. Administer consignment store arrangements, including reconciliation, usage reporting, and supplier interface for consigned stock. Manage rotatable stores, maintaining accurate records of the status, location and value of rotatable and repairable items throughout their lifecycle. Ensure inventory items sent for strip and quote are properly recorded and tracked, and follow these items. Manage and report on total stores value, ensuring valuations are accurate and supported. Optimize inventory holding and working capital while maintaining required service levels to operations. Support the Finance Manager with month-end reconciliations, inventory provisions and reporting.
