Sponsored Ad Building/Construction/Mining - Other Building/Construction/Mining Johannesburg South FULL TIME Negotiable On-site Job Summary • Source and purchase materials, hardware, fittings, tools and services. • Obtain and compare supplier quotations and negotiate the best prices and terms. • Process purchase orders using Pastel Evolution. • Follow up on outstanding orders and provide feedback on delivery progress. • Assist Stores with monitoring stock levels and ensuring materials are readily available. • Maintain strong supplier relationships and identify alternative suppliers where required. • Negotiate purchasing agreements where required. • Check invoices, purchase orders, and delivery documentation. • Report on outstanding purchase orders and purchasing values. • Identify opportunities for cost savings. • Meet with suppliers and sales representatives regarding products, pricing and supply requirements. • Ensure purchasing complies with Company policies and approval procedures MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in purchasing/buying. • Pastel Evolution experience is essential. • Qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field will be an advantage. • Good hardware and product knowledge will be an advantage. • Experience in the shopfitting, manufacturing or construction industry will be an advantage. • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. • High level of computer literacy, particularly Pastel Evolution, Excel and Word. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • High level of accuracy and strong organisational skills.
