The programme provides graduates with an opportunity to gain practical workplace experience that complements their studies and assists them in developing professional skills. Applicants who have previously participated in an internship programme in any Government Department will not be considered. Intern: Internal Audit Reference Number: 0003/2026 Contract: 24 months Salary: R98 097 per annum Location: Pretoria Requirements Applicants must have: * Senior Certificate/Grade 12. * Recognised National Diploma or Degree at NQF Level 6/7 in Internal Audit. * Be unemployed. Membership of the Siyakhula Student Membership Programme/Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa (IIASA) will be an added advantage. Duties The successful Internal Audit Intern will gain exposure to: * Development of internal audit plans. * Planning of audit projects. * Execution of audit engagements. * Preparation of audit reports. * Supporting audit committees. * Following up on audit findings. * Professional development activities for internal auditors. Candidates should possess computer literacy, office-management abilities, interpersonal and teamwork skills, good written and verbal communication, client orientation and an understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
