Job Summary
We are seeking a Personal Lines Underwriter to join our team in Benoni. Reporting to the Underwriting Manager, the successful candidate will prepare quotes, assess risks, arrange inventories, and manage post-loss activities. This role involves managing retentions, renewals, and building relationships with brokers and clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Preparing quotes.
* Determining risks and premiums based on client profiles.
* Arranging inventories and liaising with clients on inventory outcomes.
* Post-loss and corrective action on policies following claims.
* Managing retentions, renewals, non-payment of premiums, cancellations, confirmation of cover letters, and insurance certificates.
* Integrating TIG Administration products with client portfolios.
* Building and maintaining relationships with brokers, clients, insurers, and service providers.
* Staying up to date with insurance regulations and trends.
Requirements

* Qualifications: RE 5, Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance, FETC In Short Term Insurance NQF 4, Matric, Class of Business - Personal Lines
* Skills: Underwriting acumen, Hollard Binder knowledge, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, Cardinal 360 experience
