Finance/Accounting - Finance/Accounting Management Bloemfontein FULL TIME R1 750 000,00 - R1 800 000,00 (PER MONTH) Job Summary Key Responsibilities * Take ownership of the mine’s end-to-end costing and cost control environment * Drive Life of Mine (LOM) costing and long-term cost planning * Develop, maintain and critically evaluate operational costing models * Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across the operation * Analyse operational expenditure, variances and key cost drivers * Provide meaningful financial insight to operational and senior management * Manage and evaluate CAPEX budgets, forecasts and expenditure * Identify cost-saving and operational efficiency opportunities * Strengthen financial controls and improve the quality of costing information * Translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations for operational stakeholders * Lead, mentor and develop the costing team * Support management with strategic and commercial decision-making Job Experience and Skills Required * BCom / relevant Bachelor’s Degree – essential * 8–10 years’ relevant finance and costing experience * Proven mining industry experience – non-negotiable * Strong Life of Mine costing experience * Solid operational cost control expertise * Extensive budgeting and forecasting experience * Strong CAPEX and capital management exposure * Advanced Microsoft Excel – essential * Sage experience – essential * Demonstrated leadership and team-management capability * Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to engage confidently with finance, operational and senior leadership stakeholders This role will suit someone who wants to be at the centre of operational decision-making, where costing is not simply a reporting function but an essential tool for protecting margins, allocating capital effectively and supporting the future of the mine.
