Premium Ad Engineering - Other Engineering Somerset West FULL TIME Job Summary A leading automotive dealership is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician (Trade Tested) with strong experience in vehicle diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance to join their team in Somerset West. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of passenger vehicles, including hybrid models, while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. This role is ideal for a qualified technician with strong diagnostic abilities and experience working within a dealership environment. Responsibilities: * Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults on vehicles. * Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance. * Carry out repairs to engine, transmission, suspension, steering, braking, and electrical systems. * Diagnose and repair hybrid vehicle systems in accordance with manufacturer standards. * Utilise manufacturer diagnostic equipment and specialised tools. * Complete repairs according to OEM specifications. * Conduct quality control inspections before vehicles are returned to customers. * Accurately complete job cards and service documentation. * Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment. * Work collaboratively with the workshop team to ensure efficient turnaround times. * Adhere to all health and safety policies and workshop procedures. Requirements: * Qualified Trade Tested Motor Technician. * OEM certification or manufacturer training is essential. * Minimum of 5 years' experience servicing and repairing passenger vehicles within a dealership environment. * Experience working on hybrid vehicles is advantageous. * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities. * Excellent understanding of modern vehicle electrical and electronic systems. * Experience using manufacturer diagnostic software. * Valid South African driver's licence. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Good communication and problem-solving skills. * High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. * Honest, dependable, and customer-focused with a strong work ethic.
