Internship Application Closing Date: 18 September 2026 at 12:00 Internship Location: Mkhondo Local Municipality, Piet Retief, Mpumalanga, South Africa Mkhondo Local Municipality Internship Programme 2026 Mkhondo Local Municipality is recruiting graduates for five internship opportunities under its Corporate Services and Financial Services departments. The internships form part of the National Treasury Financial Management and Budget Reform Programme and are aimed at helping young graduates gain practical experience for careers in local government. The minimum requirements are Grade 12 and a Diploma or Degree in: Information and Communication Technology Computer Science or a related field. Applicants must also be computer literate. Preference will be given to candidates residing within the Mkhondo Local Municipality boundaries. Applicants must not have previously participated in an internship or similar programme. ICT Intern Responsibilities The successful candidate will assist municipal users with basic computer hardware and software problems and help identify and resolve common ICT faults. Other responsibilities include installing computers, monitors, keyboards, printers and other approved ICT equipment, as well as connecting and configuring computers and peripherals to the municipal network under supervision.…
