The Reporting & Tax Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and adherence to global financial governance standards. This role requires a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages deadlines effectively, and can collaborate with both local and global finance teams. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with IFRS and global reporting frameworks. * Manage tax compliance, including VAT, corporate tax submissions, and liaising with external tax advisors. * Support budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting cycles. * Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure adherence to internal control frameworks. * Partner with project, commercial, and operational teams to ensure accurate financial data. * Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring timely submission of audit requirements. * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function. Job Experience and Skills Required: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) is ideal. * Around 3 years of experience in financial reporting, tax, or a similar accounting role. * Experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure, consulting, or other project-based professional services environments is essential. * Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation. * Experience or exposure to operations across the African continent will be an added advantage. * Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel. * Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and jurisdictions. * High attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
