Engineering - Mechanical Engineering Pinetown FULL TIME R600 000,00 - R800 000,00 (PER MONTH) Job Summary What You'll Be Responsible For * Designing and developing complex single and multi-cavity injection moulds and metal press tools * Leading the design of progression dies, strip layouts, punching and forming stages * Conducting DFM reviews, Moldflow analysis, and formability simulations * Acting as the technical authority during tool build and assembly phases * Supporting tool trials, optimisation, conditioning, and continuous improvement initiatives * Managing design revisions, CAD documentation, and version control throughout the tooling lifecycle What Sets You Apart You understand that a tool is more than steel and dimensions. You bring technical expertise combined with practical toolroom knowledge and can confidently solve real-world manufacturing challenges. Requirements * Minimum 5 years' experience designing both injection moulds and metal press tools * Proven experience designing complex progression press tools * Tool, Jig & Die Making experience * Strong understanding of CNC machining, wire cutting, EDM, and conventional toolroom processes * Advanced experience with: + Mastercam (Version 2022 or later) + SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Fusion * Strong knowledge of: + GD&T + Tool steels, heat treatment processes, and polymer behaviour + Standardised tooling systems such as HASCO, DME, and MISUMI * Ability to manage multiple tooling projects simultaneously The Question Is...
