Engineering - Mechanical Engineering Gauteng FULL TIME Job Summary Key Requirements * Minimum 5 years of relevant design experience. * Portfolio demonstrating previous project work. * Advanced SolidWorks proficiency (essential). * Strong sheet metal design experience. * Mechanical and/or structural design experience advantageous. * Experience designing fabricated steel structures and sheet metal assemblies for manufacture. * Knowledge of fabrication processes including laser cutting, bending, welding and assembly. * Ability to perform site measurements and support commissioning activities. * Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering project teams. * Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a big-picture perspective. * Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Key Responsibilities * Develop concept, preliminary and detailed mechanical designs for industrial equipment and fabricated assemblies. * Produce manufacturing-ready fabrication and assembly drawings. * Design sheet metal components, enclosures, support structures, skids and mechanical assemblies. * Liaise with engineers, project managers, workshop personnel and clients throughout the project lifecycle. * Conduct site measurements and provide technical support during fabrication, installation and commissioning. * Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and project requirements. * Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawing registers and design documentation. * Support multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
