Building/Construction/Mining - Civil/Earthmoving plant Kimberley FULL TIME R950 000,00 - R1 100 000,00 (PER YEAR) Approx Monthly Salary: R79 166,00 - R91 666,00 Job Summary Key Responsibilities * Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide Health & Safety management systems. * Ensure full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Construction Regulations, and client-specific requirements. * Lead all HSE activities across civil, mechanical, water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects. * Conduct site audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews. * Compile, review, and maintain safety files, policies, procedures, and method statements. * Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions where required. * Liaise with clients, project managers, construction teams, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance and reduce risk. * Monitor contractor compliance and ensure adherence to project-specific HSE standards. * Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, inductions, and awareness campaigns. * Prepare and present HSE reports to senior management. * Lead emergency preparedness and response planning across project sites. Minimum Requirements * National Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Construction Management, or a related field. * SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health & Safety Manager (or eligible for registration). * Minimum 8-10 years' Health & Safety experience within the construction industry. * Proven experience on large-scale civil engineering, water, wastewater, infrastructure, mining, or industrial projects. * In-depth knowledge of the OHS Act and Construction Regulations. * Strong experience conducting audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments. * Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites. Preferred Experience * Experience on water treatment plants, wastewater treatment works, pump stations, dams, reservoirs, pipelines, hydro power, or heavy civil construction projects. * ISO 45001 implementation and compliance experience. * Environmental and Quality Management exposure. * Multi-site project management experience. * Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capability.
