Engineering - Mechanical Engineering Gauteng FULL TIME Job Summary Our client is a well-established fire protection and life safety solutions provider delivering projects across the commercial, industrial, mining, healthcare, and data centre sectors. They are looking for an experienced Fire Systems Installer to join their growing installation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality installations and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities * Install fire detection and alarm systems on commercial, industrial, and residential projects. * Install addressable and conventional fire alarm control panels, detectors, sounders, manual call points, interfaces, and associated devices. * Install containment, conduits, trunking, cable trays, and fire-rated cabling. * Read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and installation specifications. * Terminate, label, and test field wiring. * Assist with system testing and pre-commissioning activities. * Ensure installations comply with SANS standards, project specifications, and company quality requirements. * Identify and report installation issues or design discrepancies. * Complete installation documentation and daily progress reports. * Maintain a safe and organised work environment while complying with health and safety regulations. * Work closely with project managers, commissioning engineers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery. Minimum Requirements * Grade 12 (Matric). * Trade qualification or relevant technical qualification will be advantageous. * Minimum 2–5 years' experience installing fire detection systems. * Experience installing addressable and conventional fire alarm systems. * Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams. * Knowledge of fire-rated cabling and containment installation. * Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities. * Valid South African driver's licence. * Willingness to travel and work on various project sites. Advantageous * SAQCC Fire Detection Installer registration. * Experience with leading fire detection systems such as Ziton, Notifier, Siemens, Kentec, Advanced, Bosch, or similar platforms. * Experience working on hospitals, shopping centres, office buildings, mines, factories, warehouses, or data centres. * Basic commissioning or fault-finding experience. * Working at Heights certification. * Valid medical fitness certificate for site work.…
