Junior Quality Engineer
Trade/Artisans/Technical - Quality Controller Western Cape FULL TIME R300 000,00 - R400 000,00 (PER YEAR) Approx Monthly Salary: R25 000,00 - R33 333,00 Job Summary Duties and Responsibilities * Ensure products supplied to customers meet all required specifications and quality standards. * Facilitate, manage, and control APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow activities. * Develop, review, and implement quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection standards. * Drive customer concerns and internal quality issues through the 8D problem-solving process. * Coordinate new product launches, including capability studies and part measurement trials. * Issue, monitor, and close Corrective Action Requests (CARs). * Manage containment activities and support third-party containment processes when required. * Conduct SPC monitoring and data analysis to identify trends and drive improvements. * Perform first-off inspections within production environments. * Compile and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly quality reporting. * Monitor and track quality KPIs, targets, and objectives. * Liaise with testing laboratories and implement corrective actions for out-of-specification conditions. Minimum Requirements * Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quality Engineering or similar role within the automotive manufacturing environment. * Relevant qualification in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related technical field. * Strong working knowledge of Automotive Core Tools, including: + APQP + PPAP + FMEA + SPC + MSA * Understanding of customer-specific automotive requirements. * Experience supporting new product introduction and launch activities. * Advanced Microsoft Office skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
